Blockbuster 'Pathaan' Becomes Highest-Grossing Indian Film At The UK Box Office
London, February 3 - Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster "Pathaan" has become the highest-grossing Indian film at the United Kingdom box office. The spy action thriller has beaten the previous record held by "Dhoom 3" for 10 years.
Aamir Khan-fronted "Dhoom 3" grossed £2.71 million at the UK box office and was the biggest Indian movie there. Now, the Shah Rukh Khan-fronted blockbuster "Pathaan" has crossed that mark in just 9 days to become the new box office king in the country for an Indian film. It currently has grossed £2.8 million.
Salman Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is the 3rd biggest Indian film in the UK with £2.66 million, followed by Shah Rukh Khan's "My Name is Khan" at number 4 with £2.62 million, and "Dangal" at 5 with £2.56 million.
The total overseas collection of "Pathaan" is close to $32 million after 9 days. It has become the highest-grossing Bollywood movie internationally, excluding China. At the worldwide box office, "Pathaan" has grossed approx. 700 crores in 9 days, and is expected to finish its run around 1000 crores.
