Box Office: 'Devara: Part 1' Second Day/First Saturday Early Estimates
Hyderabad, September 28 - After the sensational opening day, Jr. NTR-fronted action drama Devara: Part 1 scored a good hold on its first Saturday with a drop of around 50% which is expected for a South Indian movie with massive opening.
On its second day, Devara is estimated to gross 26-27+ crores in Telugu states while 6-7 crore gross is expected in Karnataka and 2.50-3 crores is from Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Amid the expected drop in South Indian states, the North India belt witnessed a jump as Devara is estimated to gross in the range of 11-12 crores in this region.
The Hindi version of the movie is turning out to be a surprise box office success. After the good opening day of 7.50 crores net, the dubbed version scored a jump of 15-20% on Saturday for an estimated 8.50-9 crores net collection.
Overall, Devara is estimated to gross in the range of 47-48 crores (40 crores net) on its second day at the domestic box office which is a fantastic collection. The total collection of the movie is around 122 crores net (144 crores gross) in 2 days, per estimates.
There is a possibility of a higher collection on day 2 if mass centers are said strong as the opening day. The advances for Sunday are decent as the opening weekend is expected to be in the range of 180-190 crores gross which is an excellent collection.
