Box Office: Gadar 2 Second Day/First Saturday Early Estimates

Mumbai, August 12 - After taking a fantabulous start, Gadar 2 sees growth on its second day at the box office as the early estimate collections are set to be around the 42-43 crore net box office mark. The growth may look muted but it's coming after an extraordinary first-day number of 40cr and going around 5% over its first day is a huge achievement for a film releasing on a non-Holiday with such huge numbers.

The collections are similar to the first day in every circuit, though mass centers have taken a dip of around 5% as the first day itself was record-shattering and over capacity so the film was bound to go down by a little. The plus is the multiplexes have seen some growth, especially the ones in Mumbai and Pune. Rajasthan, Bihar, and other mass belts have gone overdrive and recorded the best collections of all time for an original Hindi language film.



The first two days collections will take the total collections of Gadar2 to approx 81-83cr net box office mark depending on the final second-day collections. The film will cross the 100cr mark easily and it has a shot at 130cr plus weekend total. The demand for the film is increasing as many shows are getting added which means the film will have long legs at the box office.

Gadar2 will emerge as a blockbuster at the box office by this weekend and that's not even a question the question will be how big a blockbuster it would be compared to the likes of Betaab (1983), Ghayal (1990), Border (1997) and Gadar (2001) for Sunny Deol. The film is targeting 200 plus five days total at the box office helped by the mass holiday of Independence Day.
