Box Office: Godfather Second Day/First Thursday Early Estimates
Hyderabad, October 6 - Megastar Chiranjeevi's political action thriller Godfather has had a fantastic hold at the box office on its second day/first Thursday after a good first day.
The Mohan Raja-directed film has found appreciation unlike Chiranjeevi's last film "Acharya" which crashed badly on the second day. "Godfather" witnesses an expected drop of just 35% from the first day for an estimated 15-16 crores gross on the second day.
The movie, which marks Salman Khan's debut in Telugu, grossed approx. 13 crores share in Telugu on the first day, and with a drop of around 35%, it minted an estimated 7-8 share collection. The share collection in the Telugu state has reached about 20 crores in two days.
The first two days of "Godfather" has given the impression that the movie might have a huge weekend, especially Saturday and Sunday are expected to go bonkers for the movie. It has been valued at approx. 90 crores worldwide and for that, it needs to hold well for at least two weeks to achieve break even.
The total domestic collection of "Godfather" has around 37 crores gross in two days, including approx. 2.30 crores gross in the Hindi version.
