Box Office: Jawan Second Thursday Early Estimates
Mumbai, September 14 - Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster Jawan has a fantastic extended first week at the domestic box office. The movie has already beaten SRK's own blockbuster Pathaan to score the biggest first week ever for a Bollywood as well as a Hindi movie.
The action thriller, on its second Thursday, scored an estimated 18 crores net collection in Hindi which takes its total cume to around 345 crores in 8 days. Additionally, it minted an estimated 1.50 crores in Tamil and Telugu versions for all India 19.50 crores second Thursday.
Jawan witnessed a drop of around 15% today which is a good hold as overall collections are huge. The total all-India net collection is over 387 crores in the extended 8-day week and tomorrow, on its second Friday, Jawan will hit the 400 crores mark in all versions.
There is no competition for Jawan in the second weekend which should help it to score 75+ crores net. It will be looking to top 500 crores net by the end of the second week in all versions, while in Hindi, Jawan should be able to hit this mark in the third week.
Meanwhile, with today's collection (second Thursday), Jawan also has crossed 2 crores footfalls in all versions, including approximately 1.70 crores in Hindi alone. It becomes the second back-to-back movie of SRK to hit 2 crore footfalls and 3rd Bollywood movie of the year to do so.
