Box Office: Kantara Enters Top 10 Highest-Grossing South Indian Films In Hindi

Mumbai, October 28 - Actor and filmmaker Rishab Shetty's adventure action thriller Kantara continues its heroic run at the box office, making people go wow with each passing day. At one point, the movie was not even expected to reach even 50 crores, but now, even 300 crores gross looking within the reach.

While the original Kannada version is going berserk, the "Kantara" Hindi version is also performing strongly along with the Telugu language. It has been a great year for South Indian movies at the Hindi box office, and "Kantara" is continuing that trend, entering the list of the top 10 highest-grossing South Indian films in Hindi.



Distributed by AA Films, the Hindi version of "Kantara" has scored 31.70 crores net in 14 days, making it the 9th biggest South Indian film in Hindi. It beats Nikhil Siddharth's "Karthikeya 2" which scored approx. 11.35 crores net in August this year and was a superhit outing in theaters.

"Kantara" Hindi has a shot to reach 50 crores net in its lifetime run which will take it to the 8th position in the all time list. Currently, Yash's "KGF" is at number 8 with approx. 45 crores net collection. It has already become a superhit outing in Hindi.

Produced by Hombale Films, "Kantara" has also crossed 250 crores gross at the worldwide box office, including approx. 234 crores domestically and approx. 16 crores overseas.
