Box Office: Karthikeya 2 Becomes The 10th Highest-Grossing South Indian Film In Hindi

Mumbai, August 29 - Telugu blockbuster Karthikeya 2 continues to mint money at the box office and is racing towards the 100 crores mark at the box office. In the dubbed Hindi version, the Nikhil Siddharth-starrer film has become the 10th biggest South Indian grosser of all time.

Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the mystical action adventure film witnessed a solid hold over the third weekend and scored 4.42 crores net. The total net collection of the movie in the Hindi version has now reached approx. 25 crores, which makes it the 10th biggest South Indian film in the dubbed/direct Hindi version.



"Karthikeya 2" has overtaken R Madhavan's "Rocketry: The Nambi Effect", which was a Hindi-Tamil bilingual movie, to become the 10th biggest film. SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster "Baahubali 2" is the highest-grossing film in Hindi with 510 crores net, followed by "KGF: Chapter 2" with 436 crores and "RRR" with approx. 270 crores net.

Produced by Abhishek Agarwal Arts and People Media Factory, "Karthikeya 2" will cross the 100 crores mark at the worldwide box office in the next couple of days. After 16 days, it has grossed 95 crores worldwide, including 83 crores at the domestic box office. In Hindi, the film's lifetime collection is looking to finish around 35 crores net, becoming a massive blockbuster.

The film serves as a sequel to the 2014 film Karthikeya and stars Nikhil Siddhartha, Anupama Parameswaran, and Anupam Kher in key roles along with Srinivasa Reddy, Adithya Menon, Satya, and Tulasi, among others in key roles.
