Box Office: 'Marco' Emerges Career-Biggest Grosser For Unni Mukundan

Kochi, December 29 - Malayalam cinema strikes again as A-rated action thriller Marco, touted as the most violent film in Indian cinema, has emerged as a big success and is heading towards 100 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office.

Through the second Saturday (9th day), the film grossed approximately 63 crores, including 37.50 crores domestically and around 25+ crores at the overseas box office. With this, it has become the highest-grossing film of actor Unni Mukundan and director Haneef Adeni.



The previous biggest solo grosser for Unni Mukundan was Malikappuram which grossed approximately 53 crores worldwide while Tamil blockbuster Garudan, which also starred Soori and M. Sasikumar, is otherwise his biggest grosser with 61 crores gross collection.

Marco is also the biggest A-rated Malayalam grosser ever and a superb trend at the box office, it is likely to finish its run with 100+ crores worldwide which will be the first for Unni and director Haneef.
