Box Office: 'Mission Impossible 7' Fifth Day/First Sunday Early Estimates
Mumbai, July 16 - Hollywood blockbuster "Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning - Part One" starring superstar Tom Cruise scored an excellent 5-day opening weekend at the Indian box office, setting a new record in Mission Impossible franchise as well as for a Tom Cruise-starrer.
The 7th installment in the action thriller franchise scores its biggest day as far today in India with a decent jump of around 10% over the first Saturday collection. The movie scores an estimated 16.50-17.50 crores net collection on its first Sunday which takes the total 5-day opening weekend collection to around 63 crores in all versions.
"Mission Impossible 7" will easily cross the 6th installment's final collection of around 80 crores net in its first week itself to become the biggest-grossing movie in the franchise as well as Tom Cruise's career in India. It has already become the second highest-grossing movie of the actor in India.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, MI7 is set to enter the 100 crores net club in India. It has absolutely little to no competition for at least two weeks, especially in the Hindi market. It is likely to cross the century mark in its second weekend and might have a long run as the word of mouth is rock solid.
Stay tuned...
