Mumbai, July 13 - After taking the biggest opening for a Tom Cruise starrer, "Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning - Part One" sees a very good hold on its second day with a drop of just around 25% at the Indian box office.
The 7th installment in the "Mission Impossible" franchise had the opening of approx. 12.30 crores net in all versions upon its Wednesday release. Due to strong word of mouth, the movie is having an expected drop from an estimated 9-9.50 crores net today, on its first Thursday.
The English 2D format continues to lead the collection due to higher showcasing, followed by the Hindi 2D version. Meanwhile, the English IMAX 2D format, despite the limited showcasing, has done really well to collect around 1 crore crores with an average occupancy of 44% on its second day.
The total net collection of "MI7" after two days is over 21 crores net, and, the 5-day opening weekend is looking to finish over 60 crores net which is a fantastic result.
