Box Office: Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Bhagavanth Kesari' Crosses 100 Crores Gross Worldwide
Hyderabad, October 30 - Veteran Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna has completed the hattrick of 100 crores grosser at the worldwide box office with his latest action drama Bhagavanth Kesari. Earlier, "Akhanda" and "Veera Simha Reddy" achieved this feat.
Directed by Anil Ravipudi, "Bhagavanth Kesari has crossed the 100 crores gross mark as I type this (in 12 days) and becomes the 6th Telugu movie of the year to do so. The movie scored approximately 99 crores gross through the second Sunday (11 days) and is expected to be around 101 crores at the end of the second Monday.
"Bhagavanth Kesari" has minted approximately 86 crores gross at the Indian box office and an estimated 13 crores overseas through second Sunday. Interestingly, Balakrishna has only three films in the 100 crores gross club worldwide and all three films have come back-to-back in the last two years.
"Akhanda", directed by Boyapati Srinu, was the first movie of the actor to hit the century mark globally in 2021, while director Gopichand Malineni's "Veera Simha Reddy" reached the milestone earlier this year and is currently the actor's highest-grossing film with approximately 130 crores.
The latest hit has scored approximately 76.75 crores gross in Telugu states, followed by approx. 7.50 crores in Karnataka, approx. 80 lakh in Tamil Nadu, approx. 10 lakh in Kerala and around 70 lakh in the rest of India.
