Box Office: OMG 2 First Tuesday/Independence Day Early Early Estimates

Mumbai, August 15 - Akshay Kumar's OMG 2 has a very good Independence Day at the box office which also proved to be its biggest day so far. It is seeing a jump of around 5% from the Sunday collection of 17.55 crores net.

OMG 2 is clearly getting affected by the clash as it is getting very less chance to score in the smaller centers due to Sunny Deol-led Gadar 2 which has been attracting mass audiences like never before. The bulk of the collection of OMG 2 comes from multiplexes audiences.



The social comedy-drama film, on its fifth day/first Tuesday, scored an estimated around 18.50 crores net which takes the total collection to around 73.50 crores over the 5-day extended Independence Day weekend. The 5-day collection of the movie is very good considering the release size and the blockbuster clash.

OMG 2 is headed for 85+ crores full first week, and then it will be hitting 100 crores net by the second Saturday or Sunday to emerge as the 8th Bollywood movie of the year to achieve the feat. The budget of the film is not that high so the movie is in very good positive to emerge as a superhit.

It will be Akshay Kumar's second movie after Sooryavanshi to score 100 crores net post the covid-19 pandemic, though Akshay has played an extended appearance in the latest movie that has Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the leading roles.
