Box Office: 'Pushpa 2' Second Day/First Friday Early Estimates

Mumbai, December 6 - After the historic opening day collection, superstar Allu Arjun's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has a sensational hold in Hindi on its second day with a drop of around 25% despite the mid-week release and mammoth opening.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 breached the half-century mark again on its first Friday/second day as early estimates suggest the collection in the range of 52 crores net which can rise to 55 crores depending on the hold in the mass belt which will be known by tomorrow.



The total Hindi collection of the film has crossed the 100 crores mark in just 2 days at around 122+ crores net which also surpassed the lifetime Hindi total of Pushpa - The Rise (106+ crores net). The pre-sales for Saturday and Sunday are phenomenal as the opening weekend of the movie is expected to be 240-260 crores net.

While Pushpa 2 is having a riot in Hindi, it witnessed a heavy and might be an alarming drop in South Indian states. In Telugu states, the movie is having a drop of over 60% as early estimates suggest 25-30 crores gross, followed by around 8-9 crores gross in Karnataka, and 8-9 crores gross in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Thanks to the Hindi version, Pushpa 2 seems to be heading for another huge day of over 100 crores gross domestically as early estimates suggest the collection to be in the range of 105-115 crores gross which is about a 45% drop from the pure opening day.

The film is expected to see good growth on Saturday and Sunday in South Indian states whereas the Hindi version will be in riot mode over the weekend to post unheard numbers.
