Box Office: Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' Hits 200 Crore Net Collection

Mumbai, January 2 - The social dramedy Dunki has crossed the 200 crores net mark at the domestic box office, becoming the third straight film of superstar Shah Rukh Khan to achieve this milestone after Pathaan and Jawan.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki hit the 200 crores mark on its 13th day, 2nd Tuesday. The movie has had a slow but steady run so far at the domestic box office which is fair for the comedy drama genre. SRK's last two films, Pathaan and Jawan breached the 200 crore net mark in just 4 days and are currently the joint fastest movies to reach the milestone.



Dunki wasn't frontloaded like Pathaan and Jawan, so it was expected to have its own pace, unlike those two movies. The movie got the benefit of the long Christmas and New Year holidays, but it has now entered the most crucial post-holiday period which will determine its lifetime collection.

Meanwhile, at the worldwide box office, Dunki is nearing the 400 crores gross mark which is no less than a huge milestone for a social drama film. The movie could have a long shot at 500 crores mark in the long run if it manages to stay steady in the coming days.
