Box Office: 'Singham Again' First Sunday/Third Day Early Estimates
Mumbai, November 3 - Director Rohit Shetty's cop action drama Singham Again has a fantastic opening weekend at the domestic box office with around 120 crores net which is the highest ever for the director and actor Ajay Devgn.
After an excellent first 2 days of over 40 crores each, the movie sees a drop of around 20% on Sunday for an estimated 35-36 crores net collection, taking the total to around 120 crores in 3 days. It has surpassed the opening weekend collection of Golmaal Again and Chennai Express to emerge as the biggest opener for Devgn and Shetty, respectively.
The movie has done very well so far in collecting these numbers despite a major clash with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which is equally doing fantastic. The drop might be a little higher but it was always going to be tough for the movie to sustain the collection on Friday or Saturday numbers due to holiday factors and the next day is a working day.
It all boils down to Monday when the movie will need to hold well to get the benefit of a fantastic weekend and to have long legs at the box office. As said, there is no new big Bollywood release for at least a month so that might benefit the film to sustain the collection on a good level.
Stay tuned...
