Box Office: 'The GOAT' Becomes Highest-Grossing Tamil Movie of 2024 Worldwide

Chennai, September 8 - Thalapthy Vijay's action thriller The Greatest of All Time had a sensational third at the worldwide box office. The movie, despite the mixed reviews, is being massively driven by the stardom of Vijay at the box office.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, The GOAT scored approximately 66 crores gross globally, including 39 crores in India on its third day/first Saturday. With this, the total worldwide collection of the movie is 221+ crores gross after three days which is the highest for a Tamil movie of 2024.



The GOAT, however, became the biggest Tamil grosser of the year on its second day itself after beating Dhanush-fronted action thriller Raayan which grossed approximately 154 crores worldwide. The Vijay-starrer blockbuster grossed 155 crores in 2 days.

The AGS Entertainment production is performing exceptionally well, both at the domestic and overseas box office. The movie has grossed approx. 121 crores (103 crores net) in India and a sensational 100+ crores gross ($12 million) at the overseas box office so far.
