Box Office: Top 5 Biggest Second Sunday In India; 'Kalki 2898 AD' 4th

Mumbai, July 8 - Kalki 2898 AD was running riot in the second weekend and ended it with the 4th biggest second Sunday ever at the Indian box office, joining the elite company of Baahubali 2, KGF: Chapter, RRR, and Gadar 2, in the top 5 list.

The Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic scored an estimated 44.35 crores net collection on its second Sunday in all languages, beating Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 which scored 38.90 crores. SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2: The Conclusion remains the biggest second Sunday scorer by a long margin at 65 crores India net.



Here are the top 5 biggest second Sundays at the Indian box office (estimated Net collection) -

1. Baahubali 2 - 65 crores

2. RRR - 52.80 crores



3. KGF: Chapter 2 - 45.35 crores

4. Kalki 2898 AD - 44.35 crores

5. Gadar 2 - 38.90 crores



Gadar 2 is the only film to be released in a single language while others had multilingual releases, including Hindi. Interestingly, except for RRR, the Hindi language collection of the rest of the Pan India movies was higher than the combined collection of other languages.

In another interesting fact, the top 4 movies in the aforementioned list are the only South Indian movies to cross 200 crores net collection in the Hindi version. Kalki 2898 AD, currently at 212.50 crores net approx. in 11 days, will be aiming to top RRR (272.75 crores approx.) to emerge third biggest South Indian film in Hindi.
