Box Office: 'Vidaamuyarchi' Opening Day Early Estimates

Chennai, February 6 - Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar's much-awaited action thriller film Vidaamuyarchi was released at the box office today amid high expectations. The movie was also released in the dubbed version of Telugu as Pattudala.

While the expectations were high, it received a mixed reception from the audience. However, the movie has done well at the box office as it is looking to score 22-24 crores in Tamil Nadu, as per estimates. Depending on how the offline shows perform, the final figure can go higher in the state.



Apart from Tamil Nadu, the film is expected to score 6-7 crores gross collection in the rest of the domestic market for a total domestic gross in the range of 28+ crores on its first day. The opening of the movie can be called good, as word of mouth is not that great.

The advance booking of Vidaamuyarchi for the rest of the weekend is good. The stardom of Ajith Kumar should help the film to perform well, at least, during the opening weekend, however, the mixed word of mouth might dent walk-ins which needs to be seen.
