Bryan Danielson Says He Wants To Become AEW World Champion

It seems like, Bryan Danielson is heading for the AEW World Championship right now following the fallout from All Out has shaken up creative plans for the title.

Speaking with Sports Illustrated he spoke about, among other things, his animated quest for the AEW World Championship, which has now changed plans. Possibly counter-intuitive, the championship isn't really about being the 'top guy'.



As he confirmed:

“For me, it’s not about being the top guy. I don’t care about that. And it’s not about leading the locker room. You can be a leader without the title.

“I like the feeling of big championship matches. Championship matches are my favorite kind of matches to wrestle. It’s a different feeling from anything else.”



He also spoke about his AEW World Championship goals and he said:

] “I want to be world champion because being in championship matches is unlike anything else. Those matches, they’ve got a different tension. I love the feeling of a big title match. Those are the feelings and emotions I’m chasing.”

It should be noted that two of the top stars in AEW including Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley are set to collide in a singles for the AEW World Championship At AEW Grand Slam 2022.
