Jacksonville, December 20 - CJ Perry, known for her time in WWE as a manager and her recent stint in AEW, recently underwent emergency surgery due to a severe infection on her finger. The infection, which originated from a seemingly harmless splinter she got backstage, escalated quickly, forcing Perry to miss scheduled appearances and undergo immediate medical intervention.

Scheduled to represent Andrade El Idolo at CMLL and appear on the December 16th episode of AEW Collision, CJ Perry had to miss both events due to a finger infection that left fans concerned. The infection deteriorated rapidly, leading to Perry's decision to undergo emergency surgery to save her finger.

In a video shared on her Instagram account, Perry opened up about her health crisis. She revealed that the infection stemmed from a small splinter she acquired backstage at work just days before. The severity of the infection prompted her hospitalization, and ultimately, emergency surgery was deemed necessary. Fortunately, the surgery was successful, bringing relief to fans and well-wishers.

In her Instagram post, Perry shared the harrowing experience with her followers, urging everyone to take precautions with even the smallest cuts. She emphasized the importance of caring for injuries promptly, as what may seem like a minor issue, such as a splinter, can escalate into a potentially life-threatening infection.

Her message read, "I have been in the hospital since Saturday fighting a fatal infection that came from getting a small splinter backstage at work this past Wednesday. Please keep me in your prayers. And everyone really take care of any cuts you get. As small as a splinter can turn into a deadly infection. Love all of you guys and thank you to everyone who has reached out. ❤️❤️❤️"

The unexpected health setback has affected CJ Perry's run in AEW, forcing her to miss crucial appearances. Fans and colleagues have shown support and understanding for her situation, wishing her a speedy recovery and hoping to see her back in action soon.
