Damian Priest Becomes The 2023 Men's Money In The Bank Ladder Match Winner
Damian Priest emerged as the victor of the highly anticipated men's Money in the Bank ladder match in 2023. With determination and agility, he skillfully climbed the ladder and unhooked the coveted briefcase. At one point, it seemed like LA Knight would snatch the briefcase, but Priest swiftly maneuvered to the other side of the ladder, grasping Knight by the throat. He executed a devastating move known as the "broken air," sending Knight crashing to the ground.
The coast was now clear for Priest to ascend the ladder and claim the briefcase as his own. Butch, Logan Paul, Ricochet, Santos Escobar, and Shinsuke Nakamura were also formidable competitors in the match, each delivering memorable moments. For instance, Paul executed a daring frog splash on Priest, who was positioned across a bridged ladder on the outside of the ring.
Ricochet showcased his acrobatic prowess by landing a remarkable springboard 450 on Butch and Escobar, who were sprawled across a bridge ladder within the ring. Additionally, Butch impressed the audience with a moonsault from a ladder onto a group of competitors outside the ring, while Ricochet amazed fans by executing a springboard Spanish fly on Paul, sending both men crashing through two tables.
With his triumph, Priest earned the opportunity to cash in the briefcase for a title shot at any moment in WWE. It is worth noting that the previous year's Money in the Bank winner, Austin Theory, held the briefcase for 129 days but failed to capture the WWE United States Championship when he attempted to cash in.
