Dave Bautista Joins The Cast For The Upcoming 'The Last Showgirl Fim

Los Angeles, 2 February 2024 - WWE's Dave Bautista is all set to join the cast for the upcoming ‘The Last Showgirl’ film as he has officially signed to be part of the team.

As reported by Deadline, Bautista won't be alone in this star-studded production. He'll be sharing the stage with Hollywood heavyweights like Pamela Anderson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Brenda Song, Kiernan Shipka, and Billie Lourd.



Written by Kate Gersten, "The Last Showgirl" tells the poignant story of a seasoned showgirl forced to confront her future after her long-running Las Vegas act comes to an abrupt end. Struggling to navigate life beyond the spotlight at 50, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery and aims to mend a strained relationship with her daughter, who often felt shadowed by her mother's glamorous career.

Bautista initially rose to prominence in the world of wrestling, where he emerged as one of the top superstars in WWE. His wrestling career spanned from 2002 to 2019. However, it's worth noting that Bautista could make a return to WWE if the organization has specific plans for him.

Following his departure from wrestling, Dave transitioned to acting. He is best known for his role as Drax the Destroyer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starting from Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and continuing until Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023). After the third installment, he confirmed his departure from the franchise.
