Prabhas-Fronted Epic Blockbuster 'Kalki 2898 AD' Completes 50 Days At The Box Office

Hyderabad, August 15 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted epic blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD has completed 50 days at the box office on Independence Day, August 15. Nag Ashwin directs the movie that also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani, in key roles.

Kalki 2898 AD was released on June 27 and scored the third biggest opening for an Indian movie by grossing around 175 crores at the worldwide box office. Since then, the sci-fi epic has been unstoppable and has had one of the longest runs for a Telugu title in recent times.



Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the movie has grossed an estimated 1042 crores, including 767 crores at the domestic box office in 50 days so far. It is the first Indian movie of 2024 and 7th of all time to top 1000 crores worldwide. For Prabhas, Kalki 2898 AD is his second 1000 crore grosser so is for Deepika Padukone and first for Amitabh Bachchan.

Kalki 2898 AD is the first instalment in a planned Kalki Cinematic Universe. Set in a post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD, the film follows a select group who are on a mission to save lab subject SUM-80's unborn child, Kalki.
