Mumbai, January 1 - The South Indian actors' popularity has seen an unpreceded rise among the Hindi audiences. This all began with Prabhas, whose "Baahubali" became one of the biggest hits in Hindi while the second part of the film took the actor's stardom in Hindi to the next level with the all-time blockbuster response.

"Baahbuali" opened the possibilities for the South Indian films to go Pan-India and have success. Kannada superstar Yash followed the same with "KGF - Chapter 1" and the results are there for anyone to see. The latest on the list is Allu Arjun, whose "Pushpa - The Rise" is one of the biggest success stories of the year in Hindi, proving the massive fan-following Allu Arjun carries in North India.

Hindi filmmaker Karan Johar is all praise for the South Indian actors and their films doing extremely well in the Hindi market despite the dubbed version. During one of the recent interviews, Karan Johar spoke about Prabhas' popularity in Hindi.

"I have seen a lot of movie stars but when #Prabhas came for the press at Dharma Production office, Mumbai it was pandemonium. There were more than 500 people in the lobby to see him", said the filmmaker. Karan Johar had presented Prabhas' "Baahubali" films in Hindi.

The filmmaker credited the satellite market for the popularity behind South Indian stars having success in Hindi. He spoke about Allu Arjun and his latest in theaters, "Pushpa - The Rise" that despite the minimal promotions in North India, the movie had done brilliantly well in Hindi. He defined "Pushpa - The Rise" as a true Pan-India film.

SS Rajamouli's "RRR" is the next Telugu film that will also release in Hindi among other languages. Starring two of the biggest Telugu stars, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles, "RRR" is poised to surpass all the previous South Indian films in Hindi and will likely challenge "Baahubali - The Conclusion" at the box office. The movie is currently slated for January 7 release but it might postpone due to the growing covid-19 situation in the country.

Stay tuned...
