Godzilla x Kong 4 Weeks Box Office Collection In India
Mumbai, April 27 - Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures' Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has topped 100 crores net collection at the Indian box office, becoming the first Hollywood movie of 2024 and the first ever in the MonsterVerse to achieve the feat.
The Adam Wingard's directorial blockbuster has grossed over 120 crores (100+ crores net) at the Indian box office in 29 days. In its 4th week, the movie grossed around 8 crores, dropping around 38% despite the arrival of the new Indian releases.
India has been one of the biggest overseas markets for Godzilla x Kong. The movie was released on March 29 and scored 69+ crores gross collection in the first week. It held strongly in the second with to gross of approximately 29.50 crores (-57.60%), followed by 13 crores (-56%) in the third week.
The sequel has performed well in the Southern Indian states, especially in Tamil Nadu. It is among the highest-grossing Hollywood films in the state.
At the worldwide box office, Godzilla x Kong has crossed $500 million, including $175 million (1450+ crores) domestically (North America). The movie is projected to finish over $550 million globally with a shot at $200 million in North America.
