Hollywood Romance Drama 'It Ends With Us' Surprises At The Indian Box Office

Mumbai, August 17 - Sony Pictures romantic drama It Ends With Us is turning out to be a surprise success at the Indian box office with a good collection. Directed by Justin Baldoni, the movie stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in the leading roles.

It Ends With Us was released with almost no awareness among the Indian audience and started with 2/3 shows in Key English-speaking cinemas, but thanks to the positive response from the Thursday Preview, it quickly spread to more than 300 screens.



The film had a very good opening weekend of approximately 5.25 crores gross box office collection and went on to collect around 9 crores in Week one making it the biggest romantic Hollywood film of all time in India besting The Fault in Our Stars which had a lifetime Gross of 6.4 cr.

The movie had a good hold on the second Friday as well collecting around 45 lakh gross despite massive competition from 6 local films including Stree 2, Khel, Khel Main, and Double iSmart. Globally also the film has become a sensation collecting more than $100M in week 1 with a lot of markets yet to open.
