Jayantilal Gada Reveals When Will 'RRR' Premiere On OTT

Mumbai, December 9 - Filmmaker SS Rajamouli returns with his period action drama "RRR". The visionary filmmaker set the box office records on fire with Prabhas-fronted "Baahubali - The Conclusion" and his vision is now set to take "RRR" a notch higher. The trailer of the film was unveiled on December 9 and has blockbuster written all over it.





Meanwhile, the makers held a Trailer launch event in Mumbai, in which, director SS Rajamouli, Jr. NTR, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, producer D. V. V. Danayya, and Jayantilal Gada interacted with the media and answered interesting questions.





While the movie is scheduled to release in theaters on January 7, 2022, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, everyone is wondering when it will be available on digital platforms. Since a lot of films are opting for OTT premiere after getting a short theatrical window due to the covid-19, the media asked the RRR makers if they also have similar plans.





However, putting the record straight, Dr. Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios, who is the distributing partner of RRR in North India, said that RRR won't be coming to OTT before 75-90 days. With high box office potential, it was always meant to have a longer theatrical window.





"RRR" has been delayed on multiple occasions due to the pandemic which halted the shoot not once but twice. The movie remained in production for nearly 3 years and finally, it is seeing the light of the day. It stars Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in the leading roles alongside Ajay Devgn and Ram Charan playing extended roles. Olivia Morris along with Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson, and Shriya Saran play supporting roles.





It is a fictional story about two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Rama Rao), who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad respectively.
