KGF Chapter 2's Glorious Box Office Run In Hindi Nearing Its End

Mumbai, May 27 - Director Prashanth Neel's KGF: Chapter 2 has had a glorious run at the Hindi box office. The Yash-starrer period action drama film has performed way better than the expectations which were already high.

KGF 2 has completed six blockbuster weeks at the box office and its run is finally coming to an end. In its box office run so far, the movie faced stiff competition from Bollywood biggies but emerged top performer every time to score a whopping Rs. 433.74 crores, including Rs. 2.79 crores in the 6th week.



Produced by Hombale Films, KGF 2 will be wrapped up with a little under/over Rs. 435 crores net, as the second biggest grosser ever in Hindi languages, behind only SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster Baahubali 2 The Conclusion, which had scored Rs. 510.99 crores in 2017. At the worldwide box office, KGF 2 is the 3rd highest-grossing Indian movie with approx. 1200 crores gross.

Amazon Prime Video, which is the official streaming partner of the movie, has already started premiering the movie via PVOD or Pay-Per-View for all versions including Hindi. Also the new releases in the form of "Anek" and "Top Gun: Maverick" along with the already strong "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2", means KGF 2 is all done and dusted at the box office.

The movie follows the assassin Rocky (Yash), who after establishing himself as the kingpin of the Kolar Gold Fields, must retain his supremacy over adversaries and government officials, while also coming to terms with his past. It also stars Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, and Prakash Raj, among others in key roles.
