'Kalki 2898 AD' Set For Record Opening In North America For An Indian Film

Los Angeles, June 26 - The stage is set for Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD to take an earth-shattering opening at the domestic and worldwide box office. As per the projection, the sci-fi epic is aiming to open in the range of 200 crores gross globally.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD is expected to shatter many records, and one of them is the opening in North America. According to Gulte.com, the film has scored $3.08 million (25.75 crores) in pre-sales in NA for the premiere, which is the highest ever for an Indian movie, beating RRR.



The movie is heading towards scoring the biggest opening in North America as it needs just $200K from spot booking to beat the total premiere gross of RRR which scored approximately $3.3 million in 2022. The overall pre-sales of Kalki for the entire first weekend have crossed $4.15 million (34.70 crores) in this part of the world.

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the movie stars Prabhas in the lead role alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. Kalki 2898 AD is scheduled to release on June 27, 2024, in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil, in multiple formats including IMAX.
