Kenny Omega Names Xavier Woods As Dream Celebrity Boxing Opponent

AEW's Kenny Omega, currently sidelined from in-ring action, has sparked an interesting idea - a celebrity boxing match against WWE's Xavier Woods.

Omega and Woods boast a long history together. Despite playful jabs and friendly competition that transcends wrestling promotions, they've maintained a strong real-life friendship.



During a recent Twitch stream, Omega fielded questions about a potential celebrity boxing venture. "Who knows though?" he mused, "Maybe in a Triller card, somewhere in the future, I'll be celebrity boxing someone." The conversation then turned to potential opponents, with fans suggesting Xavier Woods.

"The Cleaner" seemed intrigued by the idea. "Creed (Xavier Woods)," he said, "Actually you know what? Creed, I honestly — it would be a good match. I actually think that'd be a really good match… But in an actual shoot boxing match. I think it'd be a good fight. I think it really would be. That'd be actually really good."

Omega playfully emphasized that despite their on-screen rivalry, he wouldn't want to inflict any real harm. "I wouldn't wanna hit him though," he joked. "I hate him, I don't wanna hit him. I hate his guts but I don't wanna hit the guy... I don't think he wants to hit me either. I don't think it's like that. I don't think it's like that."
