Kota Ibushi Says He Will Undergo Surgery On January 17
Kota Ibushi is scheduled for surgery.
Taking to social media, Kota Ibushi shared that he is set to undergo surgery on January 17. The wrestler faced Naomichi Marufuji at NOAH The New Year, where he sustained an ankle injury.
Post-match, he struggled to stand and was subsequently hospitalized. Pro Wrestling NOAH revealed that he was diagnosed with a right tibiofibular ligament tear and a right ankle lateral ligament complex injury.
Ibushi is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He is best known for his tenure with New Japan-Pro Wrestling (NJPW). After having a successful career in NJPW, he debuted in AEW on the July 13, 2023, episode of Dynamite.
