Here’s a list of ratings by wrestling journalist and historian Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer in 2023. The latest release features two five-star match ratings.

The 2023 AEW All Out took place during Labor Day weekend on September 3, 2023, at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. While, WWE Payback took place on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.



Both events featured several high-quality matches, with some of them receiving a 5-star rating from Dave Meltzer. According to the report, Bryan Danielson faced Ricky Starks in a Strap Match at AEW All Out and received a 5-star rating. Similarly, Kenny Omega took on Konosuke Takeshita at AEW All Out, and that match also earned a 5-star rating.

Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens faced Finn Balor & Damian Priest for the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championships at WWE Payback, earning a rating of 4.25 stars. In another match at WWE Payback, Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus competed in a Steel Cage Match and received a 4-star rating.
