Florida, December 16 — WWE superstar Liv Morgan found herself in legal trouble on Thursday following a routine traffic stop in Sumter County, Florida. The incident unfolded when a sheriff's deputy pulled Morgan over for crossing over the white and yellow lines of a County Road. Subsequently, the officer detected the scent of marijuana during the interaction, leading to a search of Morgan's vehicle.

The search revealed a "small plastic bag containing marijuana" and a vape pen containing an "oil-like substance," later identified as marijuana. The charges against Morgan include possession of marijuana (not exceeding 20 grams) and possession of drugs, potentially synthetic cannabinoids.

In the state of Florida, marijuana is legal for purchase with a prescription, adding a layer of complexity to the situation. Morgan has already been bonded out following the arrest.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, WWE has taken a supportive stance toward Morgan, with "absolutely no heat" on her following the incident. Quotes obtained from WWE personnel shed light on the situation.

A staff member stated, "Liv has not been on TV, did not alter creative plans, and was honest about the situation. There are no issues with her whatsoever.”

A top WWE star echoed this sentiment, saying, "Everybody liked Liv before, everybody still likes Liv. We'll get our jokes off, and she'll get hers off, and nobody will be thinking about it soon enough.”

It's important to note that while marijuana is part of the WWE Wellness Policy, the company hasn't tested for it in years. In the past, a positive test would result in a $2500 fine. The leniency regarding marijuana aligns with changing attitudes and legislation surrounding the substance in various parts of the United States. The WWE's understanding response reflects a broader shift in societal perspectives on marijuana use.
