Fueling the speculation is a hefty $1.676 million tax credit awarded to WWE by the State of Ohio, part of a wider $44 million fund dedicated to television and film productions in 2024. While no official confirmation for a major WWE event in Ohio exists, the credit suspiciously aligns with the buzzing rumors surrounding Cleveland's SummerSlam bid.



Fightful Select first ignited the flames in October 2023, naming "The Forest City" a top contender to host the "Biggest Party of the Summer." Cleveland boasts a distinguished history hosting WWE Premium Live Events. The city's maiden voyage was SummerSlam 1996, featuring the legendary clash between then-WWF Champion Shawn Michaels and Big Van Vader. Over the years, Cleveland has served as the stage for iconic moments, including No Mercy 1999, Survivor Series 2004, Unforgiven 2008, and WWE TLC 2014.
