Phenomenal 'Pathaan' Marches Past 400 Crores Gross Worldwide; Becomes Shah Rukh Khan's Biggest Grosser
Mumbai, January 29 - Yash Raj Films' biggest movie to date, "Pathaan" is re-writing records for an Indian film at the domestic as well as the overseas box office.
Starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan along with John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, "Pathaan" has crossed 400 crores gross at the global box office in just four days. The movie is having a dream run at the domestic market with a 4-day gross collection of approx. 264 crores.
Overseas, Siddharth Anand's directorial spy actioner has stunned trade with its might impressive collection of around $20.20 million (165 crores) so far. The total worldwide collection of the movie now stands approx. 429 crores. It has become the fastest Indian film to breach 400 crores mark globally in a single language as the Hindi collection of the movie is around 418 crores.
"Pathaan" has also become the highest-grossing film of Shah Rukh Khan, surpassing "Chennai Express" which grossed around 420 crores worldwide. It will today become the biggest Bollywood grosser post the covid-19 pandemic by going past "Brahmastra Part One: Shiva" which grossed approx. 431 crores worldwide.
"Pathaan" has actually proved all the analysts wrong with its unheard numbers as trade was expecting 300 crores 5-day weekend before increasing their projection to 400 crores. "Pathaan" is well poised to score another 100+ crores Sunday which will take its 5-day weekend to over 525+ crores.
