Powerhouse Hobbs Wins TNT Championship On 3/8 AEW Dynamite

Powerhouse Hobbs is the current TNT Champion in his first reign.

Wardlow defeated Samoa Joe at Sunday's Revolution pay-per-view to win the title. However, his second reign didn't last for more than 4 days. Hobbs who earned a shot at the belt by winning the Face Of The Revolution ladder match defeated Wardlow on the March 8 episode of Dynamite.



The finish saw Hobbs and Marshall shooting a powerbomb on Wardlow off the stage, which was enough to keep him down for the ten count. This is Hobbs' first title win since he signed with the company back in 2020.

In July 2020, Hobson began to work for AEW as "Will Hobbs", wrestling on AEW Dark. He than competed in a 21-man Casino Battle Royale at the All Out pay-per-view. His performance in the match impressed AEW president Tony Khan, and he was signed to a contract with AEW.
