Mumbai, December 8 - The opening week record of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's spy action thriller Pathaan was dismantled by superstar Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule by a big margin. Both the movies had the advantage of a long extended weekend and they made the most of it.

From the record-breaking opening, Pushpa 2 trended well above Jawan in the opening weekend and Pathaan after that. The historical run made it the fastest film ever in Hindi to top 500 crores net collection, taking just 11 days to reach there.

Ultimately, Pushpa 2 beat Jawan's final collection of 582 crores net before the second week ended and also went past Stree 2 (598 crores net) to become the biggest Hindi grosser of all time rather easily.

Jawan had minted approximately 252 crores net in its 4-day extended weekend and 186.58 crores net in Friday to Sunday weekend. Pushpa 2, on the other hand, has scored much more in its extended weekend and 200+ crores net in Friday to Sunday weekend which, on both fronts, is a record in Hindi.

I agree with Zaid, the box office collection of Pushpa 2 will be nothing without the support of Hindi audience... Then, why the South Indians hate the North Indian movies?

Finally the end of khans and bollywood is over ..all thanks to rajamouli who introduced pan India movies, earlier it was limited to only north aidience now its about all Indian audience
