'RRR' Stars Pay Tribute To Actor Ray Stevenson Who Passed Away At 58
Mumbai, May 23 - The Northern Irish actor, Ray Stevenson, who played the villainous British governor in SS Rajamouli's global blockbuster "RRR", sadly passed away at the age of 58.
According to The Guardian, Ray Stevenson had died on Sunday, four days before his birthday. The actor had been hospitalized with a sudden illness on the island of Ischia, while in production on the film Cassino in Ischia.
On the actor's shocking demise, the lead star cast of "RRR" along with director SS Rajamouli, took to Twitter to pay tribute. Rajamouli said, "Shocking... Just can't believe this news. Ray brought in so much energy and vibrancy with him to the sets. It was infectious. Working with him was pure joy. My prayers are with his family. May his soul rest in peace".

Actor Jr. NTR, who played the role of Komaram Bheem in the movie, wrote on Twitter, "Shocked to hear about Ray Stevenson's passing. Gone too soon. It was a great experience working with him. May his soul rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and dear ones during this difficult time".

Ray Stevenson was popular for his roles in the action thriller film based on Marvel comics "Punisher: War Zone" along with the first three "Thor" movies, in which he played the Asgardian warrior Volstagg. Other prominent film roles included the Divergent trilogy, GI Joe: Retaliation, and The Transporter: Refueled.
The actor will have three posthumous releases in the form of "1242: Gateway to the West" and "Cassino in Ischia" along with the Star Wars series "Ahsoka".
