Rakshit Shetty's '777 Charlie' Scores A Blockbuster Opening Weekend

Bengaluru, June 12 - The bonding between a man and a dog is being loved by the Kannada movie-loving audiences as Rakshit Shetty's adventure comedy-drama film "777 Charlie" is turning out to be one of the biggest box office success stories of the year.

Directed by Kiranraj K, "777 Charlie" make the most of the limited release it has had at the domestic box office on the opening weekend. The film scored 23.50 crores net on the opening weekend, including an estimated 9.50 crores on Sunday. The worldwide collection has crossed the 30 crores mark in just 3 days.



The film is proving to be a money-spinner in the home state, Karnataka, which was expected. The opening weekend gross collection is approx. 24 crores, 3rd highest for a Kannada movie in 2022. Excluding monster blockbuster "KGF Chapter 2", the Rakshit Shetty-starrer might become the highest-grossing Kannada movie of 2022.

The film follows the journey and bonding between a lonely factory worker and a Labrador Retriever. Dharma (Rakshit) is a loner, who doesn't socialize with people, and spends his time by working in a factory. Charlie, a small Labrador dog makes a complete changeover in Dharma's life. In the companionship of the little Charlie, Dharma finds his purpose in life and develops himself into a better human.

Produced by Rakshit Shetty, and G. S. Gupta, the movie is winning the hearts of the audiences with its heartwarming emotional storyline. It also stars Sangeetha Sringeri, Raj B. Shetty, Danish Sait, and Bobby Simha, among others in key roles.
