Report: Dragon Lee Signed A New Main-Roster Deal With WWE Last Week
Las Vegas, 3 November - Last week, Dragon Lee signed a new main-roster deal with WWE. As reported, Lee reached out to individuals familiar with the U.S. wrestling scene, who informed him that he might get lost in the shuffle if he joined AEW, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
Now part of WWE, he is renowned for his work in the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), Ring of Honor (ROH), and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW).
Although Lee made his debut in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), the stint did not go as planned, resulting in a short-lived run there. Eventually, he found his way to WWE in 2023, where he faced Wes Lee for the NXT North American Championship at NXT Stand & Deliver on April 1, participating in a fatal five-way match for the title but ending in a losing effort.
Lee also made appearances on all three WWE programs (Raw, NXT, and SmackDown) in the same week. His main roster debut match occurred on the October 6 episode of SmackDown, where he defeated Theory in a singles match. Subsequently, he was discreetly transferred to the SmackDown brand.
