Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Again' Non-Theatrical Rights Sold For 200 Crore
Mumbai, September 30 - Maverik filmmaker Rohit Shetty's hugely-awaited Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn in the leading role is gearing up to hit the big screens on Diwali this year. It is the 5th movie in Shetty's blockbuster Cop Universe and a threequel to Singham franchise.
Ahead of the film's big screen debut, director Shetty has sold the non-theatrical rights (the satellite, digital, and music rights) of Singham 3 for a record price of over 200 crores. It's the biggest non-theatrical deal for Ajay Devgn, as well as for Rohit Shetty, according to Pinkvilla.
It is said that the digital platform has paid a premium price to acquire the post-theatrical rights of Sigham Again as it is one of the most-anticipated films featuring a solid star cast with a blockbuster director.
Produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez, Jio Studios, Ajay Devgn Films, Reliance Entertainment and Madman Ventures, Singham 3 will see Ajay Devgn reprising his role as DCP Bajirao Singham. It also stars Kareena as Bajirao's wife, Avni Kamat along with Akshay Kumar as ACP Veer Sooryavanshi, and Ranveer as ACP Sangram Bhalerao, aka Simmba.
Deepika Padukone has been cast as SP Shakti Shetty aka Lady Singham along with Tiger Shroff as ACP Satya. Arjun Kapoor plays the antagonist role with Jackie Shroff. The trailer of Singham Again is reportedly coming out on October 3rd as the movie is scheduled to release on November 1st.
