Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' Censor Certificate and Theatrical Runtime Revealed
Mumbai, December 15 - The excitement is shooting up as the release date of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's maiden film director Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki is getting nearer with each passing day. SRK is coming after two big blockbusters and looking all set to score a hat-trick of success with the upcoming comedy-drama.
Dunki will be hitting worldwide theaters on December 21st and a week before, the makers have completed the censorship formalities. According to the latest reports, the film was censored today (December 15), and the CBFC has passed it with a 'U/A' certificate with the approved runtime of 2 hours and 41 minutes (161 minutes).
Produced by Jio Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films, Dunki is based on "donkey flights", an illegal immigration entry technique. It emotional comedy-drama that revolves around a group of friends who share aspirations of going to London for a better life.
Dunki will be clashing with superstar Prabhas-fronted, Salaar: Ceasefire which will be released a day later on December 22. There is also the Hollywood superhero movie, Aquaman 2 scheduled to hit screens on December 21st. As reported earlier, the SRK-led movie will get the maximum screens in the Hindi belt as the exhibitors are confident it will bring family audiences to the theatres in large numbers.
