Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo' Opening Day Box Office Records

Chennai, October 20 - Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj's second collaboration Leo opened to thunderous box office collection, grossing approximately 142.50 crores worldwide on its opening day. Produced by Seven Screen Studio, the movie is part of director Lokesh's most talked about cinematic universe (LCU).

"Leo" was expected to take a monstrous opening after putting up historic pre-sales for the opening day as well as for the weekend, and with over 142 crores worldwide start, it shattered many box office records for the Tamil cinema by a huge margin. In India, "Leo" didn't have the luxury of getting early morning shows in the home state, Tamil Nadu, yet it performed extremely well, so in other parts of the country and overseas.
