The Kerala Story Becomes The Highest-Grossing Women-Centric Indian Film
Mumbai, May 15 - Adah Sharma-starrer drama film, The Kerala Story has become the highest-grossing women-centric Indian film of all-time at the domestic box office, beating Kangana Ranaut-fronted "Tanu Weds Manu Returns".
Directed by Sudipto Sen, "The Kerala Story" has scored 156.69 crores net collection in 12 days, after the massive second-weekend collection of over 50 crores. It has surpassed "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" lifetime total of around 151 crores net to become the number female-led film in India.

1. The Kerala Story - 156.69 Cr (12 days)
2. Tanu Weds Manu Returns - 150.71 Cr
3. Gangubai Kathiawadi - 132 cr
As far as 2023 is concerned, "The Kerala Story" also become the second-biggest Bollywood movie after surpassing Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor-fronted "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar" which scored around 147 crores net collection. TKS is only behind Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" which scored over 500 crores net this year.
"The Kerala Story", meanwhile, has already become a huge blockbuster for the makers. It was made on a low budget of around 15 crores and it will end up as one of the most profitable Indian films of all time. The movie is expected to finish around 250 crores net collection.
