The box office biz of "Top Gun 2" got boosted by strong positive word of mouth. As mentioned earlier, it is the top-rated movie of Cruise's career with 96% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes while moviegoers awarded the film with a coveted A+ CinemaScore.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the film stars Tom Cruise as test pilot Maverick, alongside Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer.
