Top 5 Indian Films With Biggest Opening Day Advance Bookings In India

Hyderabad, June 26 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD pre-sales for the opening day will finish as one of the best and easily the best in recent times for an Indian film. The film is looking at one of the biggest Indian openings at the worldwide box office.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the advance booking gross of Kalki is 50+ crores (without block seats) for all languages for the opening day, which is 4th highest ever for an Indian film after Baahubali 2, KGF Chapter 2, and RRR, or it is the best since KGF 2 which was released in April 2022.



Here are the top 5 Indian movies with the biggest opening day pre-sales in India for all languages (without block seats) -

1. Baahubali 2 - 100+ crore gross

2. KGF: Chapter 2 - 80+ crore



3. RRR - 58+ crore

4. Kalki 2898 AD - 51+ crore

5. Salaar Part 1 - 49 crore



Note: the pre-sales of Baahubali 2 are unconfirmed as there was no proper tracking back then. But it is believed to be over 100 crores after looking at various sources.

As per the rough projection, Kalki 2898 AD is expected to open with 120+ crores gross collection in India and 60+ crores gross overseas for 180+ crores worldwide opening with a chance to touch 200 crores opening day gross. If it does, it will be only the third Indian movie after RRR and Baahubali 2 to achieve the feat.

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the movie stars Prabhas in the lead role alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. Kalki 2898 AD is scheduled to release on June 27, 2024, in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil, in multiple formats including IMAX.
