Triple H Hints At WWE Expanding Partnership With Netflix
The future of WWE programming might extend far beyond just Raw moving to Netflix. In a recent interview on ImPAULsive with Logan Paul, Triple H addressed the potential for the massive streaming service to acquire more WWE content.
The conversation stemmed from the groundbreaking deal announced in January, which will see Raw air exclusively on Netflix starting January 2025. This move marks a significant shift for both WWE, venturing away from traditional cable, and Netflix, dipping its toes into live sports for the first time.
When questioned about the possibility of Netflix wanting more than just Raw, Triple H offered an intriguing perspective. "It would seem odd," he stated, "for them to just say they only want Raw." He elaborated on Netflix's business model, suggesting they wouldn't limit themselves to a single program.
This opens the door for speculation. Triple H mentioned two key pieces of WWE content - SmackDown, which has a contract ending in September 2024 with Fox, and the company's popular pay-per-view events currently on Peacock with a deal expiring in March 2026. Could these shows be future contenders for Netflix?
