Vicky Kaushal To Headline Director Laxman Utekar's Warrior Drama Film
Mumbai, January 23 - Actor Vicky Kaushal will be reuniting with director Laxman Utekar for a historical warrior drama film. The due is currently working on their first collaboration, a social comedy about a married couple opting for the PM Awas Yojana to get a house of their own. Sara Ali Khan is the female lead in the film.
According to Peepingmoon.com, Vicky and Laxman have been discussing their second film together for quite some time now which is a larger-than-life biopic of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of the Maratha empire's founder and the great warrior king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
The report further said that Vicky has agreed to play the titular role and pre-production work has also begun. Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films will be producing this big-budget film that will be mounted on a massive scale. The shoot for the film is expected to kick-start in mid-this year.
The "Uri" actor will start shooting for this historical action drama after finishing the Meghna Gulzar-directed "Sam Bahadur". The actor also has Yash Raj Films' "The Great Indian Family", co-starring Manushi Chhillar, and a film with Dharma Productions.
