Vicky Kaushal's Look As Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj In Laxman Utekar's 'Chaava' Revealed

Mumbai, April 23 - Vicky Kaushal will be playing the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the historical drama film titled Chaava. The movie is directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films in association with Jio Studios.

On April 23, Vicky Kaushal's look as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj from the sets was leaked online. In the leaked pictures, the actor is looking like a true warrior, donning long hair and a beard. The movie is currently in production and will be wrapped up soon.



Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead role as Yesubai Bhonsale, wife of Sambhaji Maharaj. She has already completed her portion in the film which also stars Ashutosh Rana, Akshaye Khanna, Pradeep Singh Rawat, and Divya Dutta, among others in key roles.

Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje Shivajiraje Bhosale was the eldest son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Maharani Saibai and the second Chhatrapati of the Maratha Empire. Under the leadership of Sambhaji Maharaj, the Marathas fought Aurangzeb and his army bravely.

Chaava is scheduled to be released in theatres on December 6, 2024.
