Vikrant Massey's '12th Fail' Three Weeks Box Office Collection
Mumbai, November 17 - Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra scored a box office success with 12th Fail amid the noise of the big-budget entertainers. The Vikrant Massey-led real-life inspired drama film has crossed 35 crores net mark in three weeks and still going strong.
The film was released on October 27 amid very low expectations to do wonders at the box office. It, however, managed to take a decent opening of 1.10 crores net and since then, it continued with good momentum after receiving a super positive reception from audiences.
"12th Fail" scored 13 crores net in the first week before commencing the second week on a strong note. It eventually had a bigger second week than the first one with a net collection of 14.11 crores. The first two weeks were an indication of the film's acceptance among the targeted audiences.
The movie had a competition in the third week in the form of mighty "Tiger 3", starring Salman Khan, but still it managed to do well by scoring over 8.50 crores net. With not much competition other than "Tiger 3" before December 1st, "12th Fail" is looking to finish over 45 crores net and might go on to top 50 crores net mark which will be a fantastic result.

2nd Week - 14.11 crores
3rd Week - 8.65 crores (updated)
Total Hindi net collection - 35.76 crores.
Other languages - 14 lakh approx.
Total collection - 35.90 crores.
